CHECK MY REFUND

When will you receive your refund? The answer depends on how you filed your return. The IRS should issue your refund check within six to eight weeks of filing a paper return. If you chose to receive your refund through direct deposit, you should receive it within a week. If you use e-file, your refund should be issued between two and three weeks.

Federal (IRS) Refunds

The “Where’s my refund?” Tool for Federal (IRS) returns

Below is the link to check your Federal (IRS) refund status. To properly check your status, you need to have your social security number, your filing status, and the exact amount of your expected refund ready. For e-filed returns, please allow less than twenty-one (21) days after filing your return.

If your tax return was mailed, please allow three to four (3-4) weeks for processing. It may take longer to use the “Where’s my refund?” tool to check your status. For faster results, call the IRS directly at 800-829-1040 or create your online account for up-to-date progress.

Below is a link if your taxes were amended by one of our tax specialists. Please note, that for amended returns it is now a twenty (20) week waiting process. To keep track of any refunds, it is also advised that you create an online account to stay up-to-date.
