  • When gathering your tax information, it is important to collect all the information that will be needed by your tax specialist to ensure a smooth preparation process and avoid any errors.
    If you are a new client, a copy of your prior year’s taxes will help our tax specialists assess your tax history and possibly help evaluate any errors that were made.

    If you are a returning client, it can also be helpful to review our Tax Document Checklist to list any updated information or changes that may have occurred since your last appointment. Below is a quick guide of what is expected for your tax appointment:

    • Driver’s License or State Identification.
    • A copy of yours and all dependents social security card.
    • Any W-2's – Report of wage and salary information.
    • Any 1099 forms – these forms may vary; ex: unemployment, self-employment, cancellation of debt, independent contractor, retirement, etc.
    • Any 1098 forms – these forms may vary; ex: school tuition, mortgage interest statement, etc.
    • Health Savings Accounts or any related information such as out of pocket health insurance.
    • Interest statements.
    • Record of any taxes paid throughout the year (estimated quarterly taxes, etc.)
    • Prior year tax return.
    • Any information about foreign bank accounts.
    • Any information about investment accounts and other assets (stocks, bonds, rental properties, etc.)

  • There are various ways to submit your paperwork to our office to start the process. You can send an email, fax, text, use our portal, or download and use our App click here. All methods of communication are simple, safe and guaranteed 100% secured. Please visit our contact page for more information.

  • Our turnaround is fairly quick. This depends on how fast you can get your documents to us. The more accurate your records are the faster we can process your return for submission. In order to avoid any delays or future audits, it is vital that all your documents are submitted at the time of filing.   • YES! We encourage all new clients to also submit your latest year taxes to us for a quick review. Our tax specialists are very knowledgeable and experienced in reviewing your previous tax return for any errors or missing credits that is due to you.

  • Most taxpayers opt to have the tax preparation fees taken from their refund with no out-of-pocket cost. While this is the most popular option, be aware that there are small additional fees that come with this choice. Paying for services upfront is always the best option if you are trying to save money. We accept Cash App, Venmo, PayPal, Apple Pay, Zelle, debit/credit card or e-check.

  • Yes, we do! We have partnered with Refund Advantage – A Division of MetaBank® to offer our clients a same day advance loan of up to $6,000. In order to qualify for this loan, your tax history should be in good standing and without any debt history. Please see our Tax Center click here for more information.

  • There are several ways that you will can receive your refund(s) through our office. If you chose to have the preparation fees taken from your tax refund, we offer direct deposit, printed checks or a debit card through our partners at Refund Advantage – A Division of MetaBank®. If you decide to pay your preparation fees upfront, you can also have your refund directly deposited into your account.

  • Turnaround time for Federal (IRS) refunds can take up to 21 days or less for those that have no pending issues with the IRS. If the issue takes longer than the 21 days there is a possibility your account either needs to be verified, a debt or an audit. If, for any reason your tax return must be mailed, it can take longer to process. For any State refunds, the time can vary depending on the State.   • Once you sign your electronic tax agreement from our office, we submit your tax return to the IRS and State the same day. Please allow up to 24 hours before you can check status. To verify that your taxes have been successfully submitted to the IRS or your State entity, you can visit the links click here to inquire. If you filed a paper return, the process can take longer than three (3) weeks and you can always call the IRS at 800-829-1040 to inquire or call our office for more assistance.

  • Be sure to read the letter in its entirety and don’t panic! Most letters give you a full description of what happened and why you received the letter. If you are unsure about any issues, there are phone numbers listed on each letter for you to call them directly. You know your tax history better than your tax accountant. While it is important to contact us regarding these matters, we are limited to what we can do for you other than respond to them for you.

  • The statute of limitations is around three (3) years with all the supporting document you used to file. We suggest to hold these documents up to five to seven (5-7) years. Audits are known to go back as far as this, so it is wise to keep certain tax filings that long. Only certain tax records should be held this long, but for average tax filings the limit is three (3).
